Why this site exists
Most people looking for answers about sex, bodies and relationships land on one of two things: a page that is too vague to be useful, or one that is trying to sell them something. We wanted a third option.
The problem
Good information exists. It is just hard to reach.
Clinical guidance is written for clinicians. Consumer health content is often written for advertisers. In between sits an enormous number of adults with a specific question and nowhere sensible to take it.
Sexual health suffers worst of all, because the topics are the ones people are least willing to ask about in person. Vagueness in the writing meets embarrassment in the reader, and the question goes unanswered.
What we do differently
We name things
Accurate anatomical and clinical terms, explained on first use. No euphemism, no coyness, no assuming you already know.
We show our sources
Peer-reviewed research and national guidelines, cited on the page so you can check them yourself.
We admit uncertainty
Where evidence is genuinely mixed, we say so rather than manufacturing a confident answer.
We keep it current
Every health article carries a review date and is revisited at least annually.
We do not sell answers
No advertiser or partner has any say over medical content. Conflicts are disclosed where they exist.
We do not shame
No moralising about bodies, choices or histories. The reader came for information, not a verdict.
What you will find here
Five topic areas, each with clinician-reviewed guides: Sexual Health, Relationships, Men’s Health, Women’s Health and Wellness. The Health A–Z indexes everything alphabetically if you already know what you are looking for.
What you will not find
Diagnoses. Prescriptions. Miracle products. Sexually explicit material. This is a health publication, and the line between education and entertainment is one we keep deliberately firm.
Who writes it
Health writers who work from primary sources, checked by clinicians practising in the relevant field. The full process is documented on our editorial process page, and the specialties covered are listed on the review board.
Our standing commitment
If we publish something wrong, we correct it on the page and say what changed. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page and it goes to the front of the queue.
