Medical Review Board

Health articles on this site are checked by qualified clinicians practising in the relevant field before they publish. This page lists the specialties covered and the reviewers who cover them.

Site owner: this section needs your real reviewers. The cards below are placeholders showing the specialties to cover. Replace each one with the reviewer’s actual name, qualification, registration number and a link to their profile. Do not publish named clinicians who have not agreed to review for this site.

What a reviewer does

  • Checks every factual claim against current evidence and guidelines.
  • Flags any statement that overstates what the research supports.
  • Removes advice that could cause harm if followed without a consultation.
  • Confirms the article is clear about when a reader should see a doctor.
  • Signs off with a dated review, shown on the article page.

What a reviewer does not do

Reviewers do not write the articles they check, do not diagnose or advise individual readers, and have no involvement in commercial decisions. Their role is accuracy and safety, nothing else.

Important: Medical review confirms that an article reflects current general evidence. It is not personal medical advice, and no reviewer is acting as your doctor.
